EVEN TEAM IMPRESSED BY BAYMATOB VISIT

During a visit to Sydney last month for the SXSW event, Even Capital Co-founder Sarah Park and Investment Manager Dr Kathleen Lucere visited portfolio company Baymatob, the creators of the Oli PPH, the only product ever to identify women who are at higher risk of developing postpartum haemorrhage well before they give birth.

As well as meeting with CEO Tara Croft and the dedicated team driving Baymatob’s vision, the Even team was thrilled to witness the progress they’ve made, and gain insight into the groundbreaking advancements in the device that will save the lives of numerous mothers and babies.  Multiple iterations and improvements of the hardware device were shared since the first investment in 2022, and the commitment of the entire Baymatob team to continually improve and evolve the product, leveraging technology in new ways to create a safer, healthier future for women was evident throughout the experience.

Female healthcare solutions continue to be under-researched, under-commercialised, and underfunded. Yet, these are precisely the areas where innovation and investment are most critical, as they address unmet needs with the power to transform lives on a global scale. Even Capital is proud to stand behind Baymatob in tackling this challenge, especially given the significant impact that effective healthcare solutions have on women and their families around the world.

This visit was a reminder of why Even Capital does what it does. As investors, the mission goes beyond capital, seeking to create real world impact and lasting value by backing pioneers who see the world’s challenges as opportunities for change. Meeting the team and experiencing the progress Baymatob has made further strengthened our commitment to supporting innovations that fill critical gaps in female healthcare.

Here’s to continuing the journey together and witnessing Baymatob transform lives in the years to come.
